The French wizard enchants us again with his third EP. Following the musical world trip he started with Morning in Japan, we are now leaving Japan and the Arabic landscapes described in Dark Lands.

Sauvage opens on "La Lune Rousse", which uses what sounds like a traditional Chinese instrument - my guess is guzheng, but it might just as well be a mandolin. The instrumental is sustained by mesmerizing singing. But when it comes to mesmerizing singing, we ought to talk about "Two Arms around you" featuring O'Kobbo. Her soothing voice fits perfectly with the sino-japanese sounds and violins notes. Did I mention how disorientating and exotic Fakear's music is?

If you still feel like travelling in your mind, "Tigers" will guide you onto the path of wild life in the south-east-Asian tropical forests. Then, take a listen at "Darjeeling" and here you are at the heart of India.

Bored with Earth yet, why not fly to "Neptune"? Its futuristic beats may be reminiscent of Flume, but its dreamy voices resemble seductive mermaids - after all, Neptune is indeed the Roman god of Seas and Oceans. From a Roman god to a next, let’s talk about Mars AKA the war deity.  On "Pale God War", the laconic voices drag our minds to the desolate Martian landscapes and the robotic beats echo the discoveries of Curiosity.

Back to Earth, "Thousand Fires" is designed to stir Shamanic chants and dances - hopefully Aliens will join.

Stay up to date.
