Hailing from Toronto, the electronic duo aiwake share with us their latest cut, "Palm City." This dark, broody like track is the perfect fit for the colder weather I'm currently surrounded in and it feels great to leave "Palm City" on repeat as I go about my day.
The first few moments of the song introduce the listener to a delicate vocal melody, but one that has strength and depth in a unique fashion. Underneath this lovely melody are pulsating synths that add to the already dark environment of the song. The rhythm and mysterious atmosphere created by these synths is the perfect pairing for the vocals floating overtop, all of which make for a lush and mesmerizing song.
