I remember stumbling on to Adolescent a couple of years ago, but hadn't heard much about him since. It was a pleasure to find that the Brighton producer is back with "Mutter", part of his upcoming four-track EP bearing the same name.
Tagged as "Modern Classical", the track lives up to this stamp with its emotional, finely crafted composition, combining piano interludes with a hard hitting UK garrage influenced beat. There are also a number of vocal samples, telling a personal story behind the track, which reminded me of Burial's equally enchanting listening experiences. The artwork, drawn by Caylon LaMantia, adds perfectly to the contemplative vibe of the project.
