The latest release "Candy" by A/S/L is littered with a range of surprises by virtue of the impressive sampling and the overall progression of the track.
LA-based producer and sonic collagist A/S/L acquaints us with an aesthetic that's reminiscent of The Avalanches, and even early Yung Bae. This is especially true on "Candy" as it's dance-friendly yet also decorated with soulful samples in such a colorful manner. I loved the arrangement of the drums here as they were so vibrant, and this beautifully complements the uplifting vocal chops too. "Candy" oozes optimism and is bound to create good vibes all around the moment you hit play!
