We're kicking off this weekend with some mellowed out, beautiful trip-hop beats & gorgeous vocals. 9 Theory's "Beaches" is the perfect loungy weekend escape and if you read the inspiration behind the track, you'll figure out why:
"Beaches" is a song about a person grinding away in big city life when really all that person needs to really find the peace and happiness they need is to slow down and connect with nature, or specifically in this song, "beaches."
Reading this made me really push for this "disconnect" mode I've been planning for a while. Just to be able to clear my head, somehow reset all things happening in there and try to find the truly important things in life. It may sound cheesy, but I really feel that the only way to figure out all those problems chasing us in life is to space out, move away from the daily situation and reflect on what really pops in your head at the end of the day when all the dust settles. Anyway, the track is a good first step towards such journey.
The song is taken off 9 Theory's second full-length album with I must say one of the best names I've heard in a while - Good Morning From A Nuclear Ghost. If you dig the sound, don;'t hesitate to dig into the full record.
