So I heard the summer has finally arrived in Europe and it feels natural that you, guys, out there should listen to some summery vibes preparing for your holidays and funsies.
Californian producer Simon James aka Woolfy has released his City Lights EP about a month ago and even though I haven't had a chance to check out the whole thing yet, the lead track sorta makes me wanna do it s soon as possible.
"City Lights" is a nicely groovy track, which has a bit of a surf vibe to it. This is probably Simon's vocals fault, but is it really a fault? When I heard the first chords of the song, I was expecting something reggae, but it turned out to be so much better. Acoustic guitar riffs is the essence of the track, while a xylophone makes the track somewhat ...cute? All the elements of the track create a perfect laid back harmony.
Sit back and imagine you are sipping a beer on a beach, watching a sunset. Or just do it.
