The epic future beat and unique sound from Gemini just made 2015 a whole lot better.
If you had your expectations set high for future releases from What So Not, you’re in luck because this single goes beyond any original from the group’s track record. Formerly comprised of artists Flume and Emoh Instead, the recently split group decided to still release this track they produced together to premiere for What So Not’s upcoming EP, The Gemini EP.
The group just made an official public announcement last week that it will just now be producer Emoh Instead taking control. Perhaps naming the track "Gemini" forecasts the rest of the sounds we’ll get in this new EP (which will definitely make all listeners very happy if this song affects you the way it affected me).
Beginning with synths that give an almost ominous tone, the production quality of Gemini fulfills any music-lovers satisfaction. What’s not to love? Adding soothing vocals from George Maple over the wavy beat was nothing short of a great decision; perfect vocals to complement a perfect song. The first exhilarating drop in the song will just remind you of everything that is great about "What So Not", and why you should be excited and expect more from The Gemini EP.
Not to mention that this EP release is being accompanied by a North America Tour, which is something that shouldn’t be missed by anyone. #WhatSoNotForever
