I wanted to add to the mood from the Adolescent track by sharing this new release from Hull-based duo The Broken Orchestra - "Glass", featuring the vocals of greek folk singer Melentini. I will quote their own description of their music, because I find it quite simple, yet rich :

The Broken Orchestra are a collection of feelings, a mesh of ideas and an assortment of plans that make numerous detours on the way to fruition.

I have been following them ever since their release of Shibui, which featured a select group of talented musicians and vocalists combining for a delicate, soulful project. This new track (part of a two-piece release) channels a similar rich instrumentation and I especially love the addition of Melentini's unique vocals that offer a hauntingly beatiful story with a series of fragile inflections in between. If you liked their sound, I have included a pair of personal favourite tracks that I often come back to, featuring two other amazing vocalists Anna Stott and Belle. Enjoy.
