Another big thank you to Joe Kay and the whole Soulection gang for discovering one of SoundCloud’s hidden gems, Abrahamblue. Something tells me we will soon see the Belgium-based producer posted up between the likes of Abjo and Atu on the Soulection roster, and I can’t say I’m mad about that.
I first came across the subtle sound of Abrahamblue. while vibing out to one of the recent Soulection Radio tribute shows (J Dilla, if you were wondering). Buried between a jazzy J-Louis chiller and a banger by Evil Needle, it’s still a mystery how his low-key vibes stood above the rest. In typical fashion, I immediately went to his SoundCloud page and scoured over the few releases he’s uploaded over the last year. Ever since that day I’ve been obsessing over his filtered vocals and delicate production style. I think we’re really going to see this young producer/singer take off in the coming months, and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
Peep one of his older releases above. It really is something else.
