LA-based duo Smoke Season is comprised of of Gabrielle Wortman and Jason Rosen and I honestly know close to nothing about the guys, except for the fact that they write stunning music, which is enough, really.
“Opaque” is the second single off their latest EP, Hot Coals Cold Souls and the track officially moves Gabrielle Wortman to my "favourite vocalists" list. She has a very smooth and intimate tone of voice and it kinda wraps up around you, if that makes any sense at all. Looks like a whole bunch of electronic elements, alluding guitar and a perfect vocal harmony is the recipe for success.
The video for this track is pretty bizarre, but pretty cool at the same time. And involves milk. Watch it here.
