Pop music is mostly about relationships; from the exhilaration of young lovers, to the pain and suffering of love gone wrong. LA- based artist Ramsey explores the darker side of this spectrum, both musically and lyrically, and even when at times she goes way deep into her personal demonology, the emotional intensity in her voice just takes you right there.
"Slave" is delicate and hurtful, but monumental in scope. The cinematic orchestral arrangement makes an interesting contrast with the more subdued, intimate electronic sounds, but in the end, it all comes down to those mesmerizing vocals. They can leave you breathless.
