I hadn't seen the term "ghost folk" before, but the more I listen to Owl & Penny's "Things You Thought You Heard" I see why and how such genre name could have been crafted.
Hailing from the vast fields of Arizona, the band sound is one of the most relaxing things I've heard in a long time. While being fairly minimal, the song has somehow diverse and after listening to it for days I still keep abusing the repeat button.
The track is off their 2013-released record Milk & Sugar and the guys were kind enough to allow us to upload this beautiful music on our Soundcloud. If you want to dig deeper in their art and explore these subtle indie folk acoustics drop by their bandcamp page. Enjoy!
