I can't believe it's been more than 10 years since that faithful day I discovered Kodak To Graph's "Lo Lindora". Every so often I feel the urge to go back to our old write-ups and figure out what's going with those artists - people who were shaping the sound of the early-to-mid 2010s and faith bringing back Michael to my life feels like a great thing to celebrate today.

"Summertime" is his first release in 8 years, since the release of his sophomore Isa in 2016. Honestly, this brings back memories and makes me emotional in the most positive way possible. Lately, I've been trying to bring back that feeling of the early blogging days and this certainly helps.

All the memories and the sound of "Summertime" itself are a great reason to celebrate life. The song features field recordings from remote Northern California beaches, acoustic and electric guitar, breakbeats, chopped and fragmented vocals from an Israeli singer, and harmonica from old Italian library records from the 60s. What's not to love?

Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Kodak To Graph shares, "I wanted to make a track that expressed that summertime feeling. You know the one? That blissful feeling when you have no responsibilities but to be outside, enjoying the day, in the sun, preferably near some water, with your friends and you know the sky will be there again tomorrow."
