There are two kinds of remixes: Those that add or substract elements and make several interesting modifications, but keep the structure and aesthetic spirit of the original, and those that create an extreme makeover of the track. I'm a bigger fan of the latter, especially when they come from entirely different musical styles, and this remix of Jasmine Thompson's "Adore" by Experimental group We Are All Astronauts is an amazing example of how to make a full re-imagining of a song.   Jasmine's original is one of last year's biggest Electro-pop hits, a laid-back yet melancholic track with a beautiful vocal performance. WAAA's version takes that voice into a world of intense atmospherics, sprawling synths and a superb post-rock crescendo, led by a complex drum groove. It's quite a creative flip, rich in melody and masterful in its intensity.
