The Austrian experimental rock/trip hop legends Sofa Surfers will be making a lot of people in Bulgaria happy on the 21st of this month. The band will be performing tracks off their latest record Scrambles, Anthems and Odysseys in Sofia's Mixtape 5 club as part of the 2nd edition of the NightLive series by our friends from EventEase.
The guys have been around for quite some time, but one of the most notable and personally fav tracks is "White Noise" and the haunting images of North Korea in the video below.
Besides Sofa Surfers, the stage will be by the sounds of joe acheson's Hidden Orchestra. The Tru Thoughts Records artist is mixing up jazz, classical, hip-hop, d&b, and post-rock in an absolutely mesmerizing way! Seriously trippy.
The focus on the joe acheson and co. performance will be HO's latest album Reorchestrations and a their latest audio-visual show.
Just because 2 awesome artists are not enough, before the bands hit the stage, the Bulgarian play "Concert For A French Key" will be performed live on the Mixtape 5's stage. The performance is an outplay between the 2 actors, who without any effort will involve everyone present in their play of laughter and emotions. Two experts of skits play trickily with the jokes of destiny. “What happens, when the man plays backgammon on his own, his wife wishes for a wedding similar to this of Juliet, the mother in law pursues the swans in the lake, and the neighbor knocks on the door with a broken iron and something else on her mind? Which locks will be opened by the French Key?” You will find answers of these and other questions at this feast of humor, which will roll over the concepts of sex and romantics, preserved in the mind of the contemporary person.
