I like the challenge of finding music I don't understand and trying to appreciate it. I almost always learn something, and come away liking something I didn't like before. That's how I am starting to like underground techno.
Danny Daze is actually not a stranger to Stereofox, but this is a relatively fresh track off his EP "Flange", released late July. Originally from Miami, he's had a busy year - releasing music, DJing around the globe and apparently starting his own label - and, a few days ago, putting together a cool mix for XLR8R music mag's podcast series. Give it a listen!
"Ritmo" is chill, with a mechanical drive to it and a slightly eerie falsetto line trailing through the whole track. It kind of makes you feel like something is behind you, but maybe it's something that wants to dance with you... but who knows. What do you think?
