Crywank must be one of the most awesome names for a band I have ever encountered. The band defines their style as anti-folk, which to be honest I am not sure how to interpret. However, these guys seem to be taking the piss out of themselves with a style. The tittle of their latest album under the name Tomorrow is Nearly Yesterday and Everyday is Stupid might increase your brain activity or come to a halt with a loud exclamation of "saaaay what".
The album contains sixteen tracks with instant hits like "Song for a Guilty Sadist", "Waste", "I am Shit" and others. I wish I had the time to cover them all but unfortunately I will have to choose only one and that would be the opening track - "Memento Mori". It has a pleasant acoustic melody and witty lyrics.
This fear makes me feel so naive
I wish that I could just accept
But I'm chilled by the redundancy of
Thoughts collected but not kept
Maybe I'm still the stupid little boy
Too weak to understand what will come
I want to find peace of mind
Maybe no mind is the answer to that conundrum
