If you're sucker for acapella or just, you know - you value good music in general, CE's "Mudra" will make you fall in love. It took me less than 20 seconds to know that this subtle and very comforting track will be repeated to infinity on my playlist and so it happened.
Hailing from the States, CE is a up and coming singer/songwriter and from what it seems (not from "Mudra") a rapper. The song was part of his debut solo album Siddha released in 2012.
This somehow gospel/soul-inspired tune was written after the death of his father and I guess it was a way to find peace of mind. Although I utterly love many of the songs we got here, it's been a while I could say that I found a track which reminds me why I love music so much. "Mudra" is one of these tracks.
Troublin mind, I'm blue
But I won't be blue always
Cause the sun gon' shine
In my back door someday
I'm gonna lay my head on some lonesome railroad line
Let the 2:19 train ease my troubled mind, yeah
