Long story short, Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner (The National) are organizing a festival this summer and they sent to fans a tape with unreleased tracks and demos of artists from the line-up. One of them is that pretty ol, but unreleased track called "Haven Mass". According to him the track was recorded sometime in 2009 before their self-titled record, but I guess it just never made it to the final release.

Regardless who considers this new or old, the only thing that matters is that it's just utterly beautiful. Very spacious sounds...
