Truth be told when this reedition of one of my personal favourite Mura Masa tracks - "Terrible Love" (featuring the gorgeous Denai Moore) came on my SC feed I got so excited. Didn't really pay attention to the name behind it just because was doing stuff around and simply went for enjoying this new angle to the original.
To my surprise, after checking things properly, it turned out that Beauvois is actually another "outlet" of another producer I've been closely following - mr. Kidswaste. He has done an outstanding job re-doing something already amazing, and here's a bit of backstory behind it:
Here's a track that's really special to me. You might be wondering why I am not releasing on Kidswaste, and the main reason is that this "Beauvois" account is an account about experimentating, recreating what I like, or just putting out stuff that isn't an enough big deal to get a release on my main account.
That said, this release is complete, and pretty big. But it's an experience, a re-creation of a track that I love. I wanted to play with my vocals, the way I sing, the way it works in a song. Now that i've done that, it's time to move on and create an original based on what I learned through this process of re-creation.
It's a sort of cover, a sort of remake. It's in between. Anyway, it's fun and it's free.
