As a band that describes themselves via their facebook as "aggressive folk", you can already assume a certain musical sound from the Brooklyn based sextet Bear Cub. Be that as it may, the sheer power and emotion being channelled into track "I'm Your Huckleberry" by vocalist Jesse Hall really struck me.
Accompanied by weeping violins and some sombre piano arpeggios for the verses, Jesse launches into full on impassioned screams for the chorus that are unapologetically raw. Definitely worth a listen if you need to vent a bit of anger at the world.
