Kanine Records, the label behind bands like Beverly, September Girls and Beach Day has grown a lot since they started at the end of 2002. For Record Store Day 2014, the label released the compilation of female-fronted indie and punks bands Non-Violent Femmes.
One of the tracks that was on this compilation is "All My Friends Were Punks" by Beach Day - a nostalgic power-pop anthem which pays homage to the band’s hazy teen years of searching for identity in the tumultuous Florida's punk scene. The song can also be found on their album Native Echoes.
